CONNECTIONS Q1 2025 3DUTIES:I work on our internal email, Dell VXRail environment and the hundreds of servers on there and the Avamar backup system that runs every night at 8PM. I%u2019m the local IT support person for the Allentown office so I build laptops, install software, troubleshoot the WiFi network and run CAT5 and Coaxial cables to offices as needed. I test new WiFi and eStreamer hardware and software and try to push it to the most extreme lengths it can go. I work closely with Vecima, Ateme and TiVo on our IP video environment and when channels are down or degraded I work to get them back up. I work with Zenworks to make sure that all of our machines have the latest software patches. I am the 24/7/365 primary contact for many devices in iGlass and I have an internal monitoring system that also shows me when servers and networking gear are down and need attention. I also receive monitoring for all of our generators and DC plant and I work with the local offices to make sure they%u2019re aware of what is alerting. I work with the Crowdstrike team on their next generation antivirus for endpoint security, threat intelligence and cyber attack response on all of our servers, desktops and laptops. I create new AD, VPN and 2FA accounts for our internal people and vendors. I%u2019m the primary contact for our Bentley drafters who hit our centralized servers pretty hard when they document our cable and fiber plants. The one thing that%u2019s slipping off my plate is Palo Alto firewall administration as Nathan Kolet is taking that over but I love getting to work with those when troubleshooting server / network situations.BACKGROUND/EDUCATION:%u2022 Studied Electrical Engineering Technology at Middlesex County College %u2022 BS & MBA Management of Technology From NJIT%u2022 Served in the Army Reserves and National Guard%u2022 Owned a few barbecue restaurantsACCOMPLISHMENTS:%u2022 Keeping Triad running and dealing with ETI, then I worked with TiVo to build a T3 (TV Testing Tool) to constantly monitor channels on all three lineups 24/7 and collect S3 analytic data so that we know what channels our customers are watching the most or least.%u2022 I%u2019m also working on the TAG system so that we can monitor every channel simultaneously instead of one at a time like the T3 system. I also got to test 8Gig PON and even GROK doesn%u2019t know what use case would max that speed. PERSONAL INFO:I have been married for 26 years to my beautiful wife, Kathleen and have two amazing kids who are 18 and 21. I have about 100 Tilapia in my basement right now in an aquaponic setup where I%u2019m using their waste to fertilize plants. I%u2019ve started some super hot pepper seeds in my grow room and soon I%u2019ll be moving them into the greenhouse. I have many raised beds where I grow lots of vegetables and fruits and my beehives keep everything pollinated.
