CONNECTIONS Q4 2023Bloomsburg Career Day - SunburyTheresa Brown (CSR) and Matt Eddinger, Technician, Sunbury, division attended the Bloomsburg Middle School Career Day. The students are learning all about different career opportunities they may have and what skills and education are needed to take that path. Theresa and Matt are explaining many aspects of their job including how they use technology, what a typical day is, what they like most about their job.Thanks to Theresa and Matt and all the other area businesses for participating and best of luck to these students as they plan for their futures!Sweep - SunburySECV employees and Scout Troop 333 helped with clean up day at the Sunbury Wetland Ecological and Educational Park - SWEEP in Sunbury. It was cold and windy, but we made some nice progress! Trunk or Treat - SunburyThank you to Jillian Bastian and Lisa Lambert, CSRs Sunbury and Bill Lambert, Technician Sunbury, for decorating up our bucket truck and participating in the Montour Delong Trunk or Treat on Oct. 28th! They handed out candy and SECV swag and only got a little bit rained on.Milton Career Fair - SunburyOn November 1st, Matt Eddinger, Technician, Sunburysystem spent the day with students from Milton Area High School and Middle School as well as some other area districts at the Milton Career Fair. He enjoyed the opportunity to educate students on how Internet, Television and Telephone get to their homes through Fiber Optics. They also learned how to splice the fibers and discussed his career and the path he took to get there. We were proud to help these students learn about different careers available to them in the future. 18
