When I accidentally put my ladder on the electric line and saw every vein in Ajax’s head pop out in frustration.-AndyI was so proud to take my dad and my daughter to the 75 year picnic this summer. The venue, décor, and the food made me feel like that I was really working for a company that had a sense of greatness and treated its employees with high regard. I remember when we thought 10msgs was a big day -KelliOur entire team has a large family feel to it. When my wife told me she was pregnant in ’08, Mandy was the first person I told. Although my big goofy grin was a dead giveaway as well. On top of that, our team threw me a baby shower months later. Mandy and Lauren came to see us and meet Logan in the hospital. Barb also sent us a pizza the day we came home. 14 years later multiple co-workers come to see him on stage. I wouldn’t trade them for the world.-MattSo I had the pleasure of speaking to an older woman who said she has had service with us since the 60's and her daughter also has service with us. She was calling to help her granddaughter, who was getting service because of her children, with us and said her great grandchildren will also have us. Just to think how many generations we have provided service for and how they continue to use us for their family needs. She said she always has a friendly experience with us and was happy to hear a man on the phone. -LuisChuck used to call me Sally every time we crossed paths and I used to call him Bob. I miss Chuck!!-JoanneJoy and Stacy used to make fun of me, lol, so one day they took me into the warehouse and tied me up with cable wires. I know it’s fun working here because even though we get our work done, we still have fun.-JoanneNine years – “almost” – have a lot of memories. Most memorable are all the fun activities we participated in... Olympics, gift exchanges, cubicle decorating, dressing up for Halloween and employee’s children trick or treating. -MichelleComing into work with two (2) different shoes on and of course Joey sees it and made fun of me all day. -JoonieWhen I first started working at SECV I fell and hurt my foot before work. Little did I know it was broken! Determined to make it to work, I drove and hobbled into the office, crying and upset. Everyone was so kind, Matt and Joanne helped bandage my foot and Joanne walked me to my car when I left to go to Urgent Care – where I found out my foot was broken! My SECV family always takes care of me and each other.-KalissaBring your kid to work day! -Ainsley & Cassie YoungCONNECTIONS Q4 2023 15Since the day I started everyone at the Birdsboro office has made me feel at home. Joy, Matt, Jenn, Stacey & Joelle are so great at helping and answering questions when I have them! Thank you all so much! Everyone at the office makes it so easy coming into work.-Gabrielle Busy Saturday customer calls, co-worker questions and tech calls for dispatch. Contractor Tom calls for help. I ended the call with “Love you”! My daughter-in-law was in my home office and said “Did you just tell the tech “Love you”? How embarrassing!!! But Tom was very understanding and thought it was funny.-JoyMine isn't really a story, just the many times I have been called “you people\, or when they asked me to “flip my switch\, or can't I “see\ their “stuff\ isn't working. It makes me laugh, to think of what they think we have in front of us, or where this BIG SWITCH is that we flip on/off. I will always remember the time I had a couple yelling at me because they could not find the Flintstones on TV. I love the ones, where you know they have struggled for awhile, with their tv or remote, and I get it working for them, and they act like I have saved the day, because they live alone, or are elderly! And I can't imagine living alone, because in some cases, TV is their main source of entertainment. So helping them out, is a great feeling. -Jen
